Vled V3 Triton in front turn signal lamp
Hello CL!
I love my new GS and thought I would get rid of the "yolk" look of the front turn signals. I decided to replace the 7440A filament bulb with Vled V3 triton amber led's. I used the same type although version one on my second gen GS and had no issues.
Note: I installed a led flasher relay to eliminate hyper flash. Otherwise you would need the resistor kit that VLED provides. If you choose to go the resistor kit route you will no longer be able to use the headlight dust cap so please be aware of this.
Installation was straight forward and took around 45 minutes. The Vled V3 Tritons are way brighter than the filament bulbs and I would consider this a safety upgrade.
Left side VLED V3 Triton. Right side OEM filament. Notice there is no more "yolk" in the light!
VLED V3 Triton off. Clear housing!
OEM Filament bulb off. Notice the bulb can be seen in the reflector.
VLED V3 Triton on
Oem Filament bulb on. In these pictures you do not see much difference. Please see the video below to see actual difference.
self explanatory
Let me know what you guys think!

Flasher relay is located under the instrument panel. You can access if by removing the plastic panel in the foot well and reaching up. In order to identify which relay is the flasher unit, turn on your hazard lights and listen for the clicking relay. My flasher relay was held in with a white clip. Un-clip the white clip to make the install easier. Unplug the relay and replace with led flasher relay.
This does fix hyper flash for all four turn signals.

Led's also provide a crisp on off flash that filament bulbs will never be able to replicate.
Led amber is a very particular color. I purchased these to match my oem led amber mirror turn signals and it does in fact match perfectly.
You call it work. I call it fun. To each their own.

I would love to see a chrome encapsulated filament bulb outperform these led's. How would it be "more brighter?"

Seems the chrome plating on the bulbs makes them dimmer then stock, they only look brighter because they increased the wattage to compensate.
You can also get the adjustable led relay so to change the speed of the flash.
As op stated they shine crisper and look much better in person than the video.
