Newbie Question...
Hello to all...
I just picked up my first Lexus, an 08 GX470 with 145k miles, a few days ago.
No pictures yet, still being serviced and cleaned. Still learing about it's features and issues.
I am sure I will have a number of questions, but my first is...
Interior lights... does the radio control area and the ride control switches light up at night?
I seem to have a very dark interior during night time driving.
I just discovered this matter a moment ago, so not sure if it is "normal" or not.
Thanks!
I look forward to your replies and any points of advice offered!

The bulbs are regular incandescents and they do burn out after a number of years.
The ride height & shock adjustment unit has three bulbs: 90010-01039
The cassette radio has internal bulbs and I can't find them listed separately - they might be LEDs.
For some reason the US parts sites don't show the switch & relay pages today. But you can find part numbers on Amayama from Japan.

After spending some time checking fuses, I pulled the switch panel above the driver left knee. All the harnesses had been unplugged. Same for the seat heaters.
Weird, but all in good order now!

I have an '07 GX,
Can I also use that site to choose LED bulbs to replace my incandescent bulbs?
Thanks

It will tell you what the bulb type is, and I think it now shows you their LEDs that they sell. Once you have the bulb type you can shop for LEDs that fit from any vendor.
Note that swapping the turn signals will either need LEDs that are compatible with incandescent flasher relays, resistors placed inline to make the LEDs appear to be an incandescent bulb, or a replacement flasher relay that works with LEDs. Not doing this makes the Lexus relay think you have a bulb burnt out and it will hyperflash (flash very quickly).
For LED headlights & foglights pay attention to the heat they generate. They usually have fins on them to dissipate heat but on the cheaper ones the fins aren't large enough and will melt the socket/wiring.
Otherwise there won't be a problem with replacing the old bulbs.

Im mainly interested in the headlight/foglight LED upgrades. Maybe inside the cabin map/dome light too.
