Only need an alignment if the front suspension was touched but if your tires are older and plan to replace them in the relatively near future, you can go without. Just for clarification though, although they don't touch the screws for toe in/out for a strut replacement, it could bump things around and generally the recommendation is to get an alignment. When I had my struts replaced (both front), I did not get my GX aligned since I have old tires which eventually need replacement and the mechanic said "meh, unless you have relatively new or good tires, just do it when you get your tires replaced since I did not touch the toe in/out nut". So I have been running on it without a realignment for several thousand miles already and there is no unusual or increased wear on my tires.

Did you also go bigger on rims/tires so the overall diameter of your wheels are bigger? That is the only thing I can think of needing 'calibration' (speedometer) but not sure any facility would do that and you just get used to doing the calculation of the 'I am going around this speed' in your head when driving and a cop is behind you

I was always told to change in pairs.
When I did coil conversion, a pair of Bilstien 4600’s went on the rear. I did do an alignment after it settled in for a few weeks. Changed the front earlier this year and reused the front coils. 4600’s all around now. Front end links at 200,000 are on their last days so I ordered some Moog’s , probably have them on in a week or so.
The electronic front shocks I removed had KYB on them but looked OEM. One was totally shot and wouldn’t close on its own.
