Tell that to the 2 Odyssey AGMs I've run in our GX. And no they didn't "dry up." 2nd AGM is still going strong.
You either bought a crap battery or your charging system is overcharging the battery i.e. bad voltage regulator. That is the ONLY way it will "dry up" that or a hole in the case.

1st, I only stated my project AGM batts dried out and died. They were not overcharged, and had no holes. So maybe you have some other explanation?
2nd, I not sure why my Odyssey made AGM died (Diehard Platinum is made by Odyssey), perhaps it was not charging correctly in the vehicle.
3rd, AGM's appear to have different absorption voltages depending on make/model of batt, and some can't get a full charge on 14.4v, your Odyssey batts perhaps do ok charging on whatever voltage your GX alt is.

Forget agms. Go lead acid which is what your regulator charging profile is set up for. Get the premium 3 yr from Wallmart, about $139 if memory serves. You want the newest mfg batteries and the turnover at WB ensures that. I gave up the overpriced short lived agms years ago.
