Hey guys (and gals)

What do you guys think of extended warranties for this truck? I am tempted, but I want to know what others think.

I have a quote for about 2300 (and some change) on the 0 deductible platinum warranty from Lexus for 7year/100K miles w/ one time transfer (and prorated refund if the vehicle is sold).

Bargain with them. I paid less then half for your quoted price for the same identical coverage @ Bellevue Lexus in Washington. There is a very large profit margin for exteneded warranty.

Can i get your contact info for the dealership..I would like to use that as a bargaining chip when i fill out the paperwork.

It really depend on if you are going to keep the truck that long. Personally, I haven't seemed to keep anything long enough to justify the extended warranty. If you trade it off before 60K, the vehicle can still be certified by Lexus....and you can use the money to put down on a new vehicle.
