Thumbs up Wax Job

Spend the day waxing the GX before the roads get loaded with salt. I got some of the One Grand Omega Glaze and the Blitz Wax. Man is this stuff good. Pretty easy to work with too. You guys with the dark colored truck might want to consider it.

If you want the best stuff, go with Zaino, it is a polish. Best stuff out there and used by most professional car show gurus

Default Wax products

There have been many arguments both for and against Zaino...personally I like it, but the fact that it is NOT a wax leaves others with a bit of an empty feeling. Kind of like that if it's secret and you cna only buy it in one place how good can it really be. As far as "real" wax (vs. polish) goes the One grand products are top rated as well as the Meguiars stuff. Check out the info in the detailing forum.

I had an experience with polymer sealers before that wasn't kind to me. I think once you use one, you have to continue with it for ever or it doesn't look right. The fact that you need to apply it in multiple stages is another factor. Just the two coats I did with this stuff was enough for me. Guess riding the desk is getting to me.

Not really true, if you really want to strip any old sealer or wax from your paint to "start over" you can use DAWN dishwashing liquid when you was the car. It will strip the wax/sealer right off (we used to use it at the gas docks when you'd get a little fuel spilled into the water-should see how the fuel gets dispersed when the Dawn hits it)

After that claybar and you are fresh good to go with your "new" treatment.
