Default Back from the shop

Well, the GX is back from the shop. Came from this:

Now she's back at home. Her bumper has lost a little bit of its sparkle, but she's glad to be home after so long in the shop.

ps - I'm thinking the flash and critical angle are exaggerating the sparkle-mis-match.

Looks good man, that second pic the bumper looks like a different texture/color then the fender flare and fender.

It's probably just the angle and light reflecting off it cause in your 1st pic it all looks perfect, so how much did it cost and what did they actually do, my guess would be they only repainted the damaged area and blended it in.

My last visit to the body shop the guy told me not to wax it for 3-6 months for the paint to dry, what did they tell you

Well I think the fender flare came prepainted from the factory, so that's why it matches perfectly to the fender (which wasn't repainted). I think it is just the light reflecting since it's at such an angle and the flash is pretty powerful. I'm guessing it's pretty difficult to match the pearl effect (?)

They told us not to wax it for 1 month. LOL who knows Does your body work match perfectly from all angles?

I can't remember how much it cost.... I'll have to check. They replaced the fender flare, adjusted the fender, replaced the bumper, headlight, foglight, and painted the bumper.

The work I received from the body shop I went to, I was not to impressed with it , it was on my 00 Pathfinder, the whole rear bumper was replaced cause it had holes in it but their was paint overspray and you could see the drips in the paint, not bad but the front bumper was repainted in the area it was scratched but they missed a spot that was about 4 inches by 6 inches that was left sanded down and never painted truck was beige so was the sanded spot.

Did not really bother me cause I never intended to keep the truck, I drove it weekly into Manhattan and Queens and left it on the street, and I walked away with the other guy paying me 3k in cash and pocketing 1500 and drove a Navigator with 2 miles on it for 2 weeks

Now I was not impressed with the work but these guys must have had an off day cause they do awesome work and have many repeat customers, Im not 1 of them, several of my friends have gone to other body shops and the work is horrible, what I got back was perfect compared to the others.

Most people who take their cars to car washes and never look twice at them would not notic small imperfections like I did or yourself.

Anyways man, truck looks good seems like they did more then they had to but thats how they did it

Thanks for the encouraging words edge

I pulled it out in the sun today and you can't really tell it at all. The paint lines up almost perfectly.

Amazing what a flash at night reveals!
