General GX470 questions pre-buy
Great sight with great info!
I have a few questions prior to making a decision to buy the GX.
1) If you get the nav option, does this move the CD changer from the center?
2) Has anyone here dealt with lexusus.com? They seem to have reasonable prices & inventory.
3) Does the second row seat fold flat?
4) Why would anyone pay 15-20g more for the LX? What am I missing?
Thank you ahead of time for your help.
Chris

see below
1) Nav Option moves the CD-Changer to the Glovebox
2) I haven't
3) Not Really - folds down and then up against the rear of the front seats
4) LX470 is bigger has a bit more amenities, status, four-way adj air springs (GX only has "rear"), option for the Night Vision Camera. These are what I can come up with right now.
$15-$20K is too big a difference for potential GX buyers to move to the more expensive LX
I was actually considering the "LX" but did not think it was worth the entry price.

LX is based on the Sequoia (tundra) platform. But the 4.7L V8 with 5 spd. gearbox is Toyota's/Lexus top drivetrain. And in the GX and 4Runner. (as well as Tundra & Sequoia)
.
Very difficult to comprehend paying so much more for a LX. But hey moneys relative. More you have the less you need to be concerned. Try a Kia Serrano!!
