I've read the "de badging" excerpts from the "care & detailing" forums from Lexus sedan owners, and wondered if anyone had expirience doing this on their 03-04 GX 470's?
I just know the dealer's gonna have his "advertising" glued to the back panel when I recieive shipment next week, and hope that the "hairdryer warming, dental floss" routine will work for most of the backend glued on emblems.
Would appreciate feedback from owners who've had success in "cleaning up" their GX 470 hindquarters...Thanks!

I agree with lexite. Dealer badging sucks! When I lived in Florida, it was a common practice (as in many southern states) for the dealer to slap their sticker on the back. Thankfully, it is not common in California. However, CarMax does badge their cars, even in California. When I helped my brother get his car, we told them that we would expect a 10% price reduction for our "advertising fee" unless they removed all badging other than license plate covers before we took delivery. After 20-minutes of the typical "But we can't... That is just how we do it... bla bla bla..." they finally did it rather than lose the sale over something so trivial.
Chances are, they removed it with the same techniques described on this board, but this way they were responsible if they screwed it up! With Lexus, an additional threat of a bad rating on the survey card can work wonders with some dealers.
