With the XenonDepot kit you will not need to upgrade the fuse as the kit comes with a wiring harness. Once our harness is installed all you will be using your OEM headlight harness for is simply to trigger the relay in our harness on/off.

Default HID Conversion Kits Professional Installation

I am looking for a mechanic who can install HID Conversion Kit (placed an order with Xenon Depot today) on my 2006 GX470 in Southern California (I am in Costa Mesa, CA).

If you know someone, please email me.

Email: mtb_2004@msn.com

Many thanks.

Alpha tint installed my IS350 with XD kit for $60. His installation is very clean, which mean you do not see any wire hanging under your hood. He installed a few XD kit already. You can search the IS forum for their phone number. They are located somewhere on Beach, near autobach. I hope this help

Thumbs up 4300k Installed

I installed the XD 4300k in 4Q'06 - - - - easy to install once you know what you are doing. Plug and play is great and easily reversible if needed. Seems like there was concern over water exposure to the ballasts so XD included additional clamps in the setup ... overall MUCH MUCH better vs OEMs Also includes 2 separate harnesses so both failing at the same time highly unlikely. I contemplated the 6000k but finally decided on more light vs the "cooler blue" look......and believe me you need the extra light as 4300k is not ultra bright but just right....anything less would not be sufficient in my view

I am surprised how people buy this vehicle and then want to shop around for $100 savings on cheaper bulbs......that is 2 gas tank fillups worth and really headlights/ safety is not where you want to skimp...

Lexus unfortunately sucks in headlights - -- -installing regular OEM bulbs for the GX/LX or is it the Lexus lawyers afraid of lawsuits....wake up LEXUS...all other premium SUVs have HIDs.....with adapative lights!!!

After 6 yrs I am coming around to considering this kit.

Steve, has anything changed with this kit since it was first introduced? Easier install, durability etc?

What is the primary difference between the Volt kit and the Xtreme Digital kit aside from the price?

I assume these kits don't trigger any codes/dash lights?

If you go to the website, you'll see a side-by-side comparison chart.

What's the difference between Xtreme Xenon(XT-4k-H11) and Xtreme Philips Xenon (XT-4k-H11P)?

Are they both correct model for 2008 GX470?

Ordered the Extreme kit through KBcarstuff.com. I just installed the low beam (H11) set. From start to finish, including the window recalibration, it took 1.5 hours. I was surprised by how easy it was. The provided harness plugs right into the factory harness. The provided instructions are vague and not well labeled, so I would suggest laying each side out first and figuring out what connectors go where. Just know that NO connector plugs into itself. It's TOO easy. I will visit this post once I've driven on them for awhile.
As for KBcarstuff/Xenon Depot, shipping was prompt and nothing was broken. As long as this set holds up for a suitable amount of time, I'll probably be ordering the remaining LED and HID's in the near future.
