That's why I'm puzzled about the price of the 2005 Sports Model option. It seems to me that I saw somewhere that the price of getting the Sports Model option will be about the same as you mentioned above for just the KDDS.
The Sports Model will come with KDDS and be offered in only four colors, Silver, light blue, dark blue and black.

Maybe its my fault
At the time I was having problems with my 03, the suspension bottoming out, and instabilities was among the top of my list with Lexus Customer Service. I complained that I believe the suspension was dangerous and that it was quite convenient that Lexus was changing the suspension only after the first model year. Of course back then there was no talk of it being simply an option.
Maybe they figured they'd wait a year or so, and blend the KDSS into the base model.
Just a long shot theory

Again, this is based on no factual evidence. I just remember using the argument to Lexus Customer Service that the truck was unsafe and isn't it strange that you guys are changing the suspension next year (this was back in 03)

Check the other 2005 GX470 threads and the Lexus Dealer letter all stating that the KDSS will be an option included in the Sports Package.
After reading this thread, I firmly believe in KDSS and believe it is worth it, however I hope Lexus has a good alottment for these trucks with KDSS, because my local NJ dealership seems to always deter me from these Sports Packages, because there are so few of them out there and the delivery is much longer Either way it looks KDSS is worth the wait!
I can find a 4Runner Limited with XREAS much easier than a GX470 with KDSS! WHY?! It's probably the age of the buyer thing.....

Hey Beezy if your still around to read this but my chrome wheels came with the GX when I bought it. It definitely looks like the chrome version of the factory wheels. I paid 1100 bucks for them on the GX when I bought it. I really like the way chrome ties in with the blizzard white paint.
