Smell Be Gone
Is this what I think it is? I put my car in the shop for an oil change today. My service person called and left a message that my car was ready, and by the way, they have ordered a new exhaust system for my GX470 that will take care of the sulfur smell....woo-hoo!! I knew Lexus wouldn't let me down. Yeah baby!!

need the information
I would like all your information on this as I am really sick and tired of this smell, now that summer is here we drive with our windows open and all that we can smell is the sulfur. I need your help as I am taking this to the dealer to show them how to fix this once and for all.
any help is greatly appreciated...and my lungs appreciate it too!!!

If you can find out if they have a TSB number that would be a big help. it is much easier to go in to the dealership and give them a TSB number than to have them go through the rigamaroll of the dealer resurching the problem. Thanks

They said it would take a couple of weeks for it to come in. It is the whole exhaust system I think...catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, and whatever else is involved. Also, I would like to ask, when you all come to a stop light, do you hear a strange noise when you brake like the car is shifting position or something? I was told that this was a defect as well that Lexus will be fixing.

Any internal Lexux reference you can get would be great. I just called my local Lexus dealer and spoke with the service manager and he told me that Lexus was close to a fix, but it was not yet avalible. Let us know.....Thanks
