Question How to Play Backup DVDs

My GX entertainment system won't play my backup copies of DVDs made with 321 Studios DVD copying software. These DVDs play fine on my home DVD player, but cause a "DVD Error" message on the GX's entertainment system.
Anyone have this problem and/or know of a solution?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bob

Download DVDshrink at:

It works great and the lexus dvd player has no problems reading the backup discs

Thanks. I've been using 321 Studio's software and have a large collection that won't play in the Lexus. I'll try backing up one of these disks to test your suggestion.
Thanks again. I'll report back if it works.

Your RES DVD Player will only recognize DVD-R disks and nothing else. Check what DVD Disks you have backed up your stuff on.

Actually, the Lexus DVD player will play DVD+R. I have had no problems with any of my backup dvd+r disks playing in the DVD player.

All I had to do was RTFM (Read The .... Manual)!
On page 162 it says,
"DVD Player - The products such as the following may not be playable on your DVD player:
SACD
Copy-protected CD
CD-R (CD Recordable)
CD-RW (CD ReWritable)
CD-ROM
DVD-R
DVD+R
DVD-RW
DVD+RW
DVD-ROM
DVD-RAM"

Seems to be hit or miss on my DVD+Rs. Sometimes it will play one; other times it won't play the same one.
I guess "may not" is the key phrase here.
