Chrome Exhaust Tip
Does anyone know if the latest GX's from the factory are coming with the chrome tips? I had my GX at the dealer tonight for the 1K checkup and 3 of the new GX's out front all had the chrome tips on them. I thought for sure that the dealer would have tacked on another sticker showing the $$$ for the chrome tip, but none of them did. I asked the service advisor if the GX's are now coming from the factory with the tips and he said he didn't know and that I should ask my salesperson.

They are coming with exhaust tips
The 9700G versions are coming in with the same tips we all were putting on our GXs. Another member here just bought a 9700g model and he had them on his truck.

Can you tell me if the tip is clamped onto the tailpipe or is welded onto the pipe ?? If it is clamped on, will you describe the clamp ??

I told you guys
I told you guys Lexus is putting on the 4 runner tips for free now with the G builds. The real kicker is that some dealers smart enough are charging for them and some don't know any better are giving them away at no charge. Its the same chrome tips we all put on our trucks from Toyota.

your right because i bought my tip online a few months ago (45.00) and when I went for my 1k check up I noticed them installed along with the new optional wheels so I took a look at the sticker and sure enough they are charging for the tips.

GX470 Chrome tip
You can get one on yours it is like $70 from lexus because I had my dealer order one for me and it looks nice and only took then 10 minutes to install.

I just bought a 2004/9700G GX 470 yesterday. I thought all 9700G vehicles come with the chrome exhaust tip but after I took my SUV home, I noticed that it doesn't have one. If you bought a 9700G GX 470 recently, can you tell me if yours come with or without this chrome tip? I bought my SUV in Los Angeles, California.
