yes, they are 22s with 265/40/22. i drive the truck on sport all the time anyway so it is a little bumpier than it would be in comfort. with the new rims on, the only bad thing is that you do feel the bumps a little more, and you definitely have to change your driving style so that you avoid as much of the bumps as possible. otherwise, no issues. i think there's one or two other people (drcool is one) on CL with 22s on their GXs and a couple with 20s too.

305/40/22 with little mod.... what's "little modification".. does that mean "no modification " I met a guy with a sequoia that says they will RUB... and i dont wanna tear up my tires... from the specs.. 305/40/22 should fit with (less than 10% difference in diameter)... but if they rub I dont wanna go that way..

I put 305 tires on my 22"s. You have to cut the piece that is hanging out from the side skirts. Only the front of the shirts need to be cut about 2 1/2 inches so it won't rub. Thats it.

Today I was wheel shopping and had the chance to see the 305's on the 22's, let me say they are too big for the GX and a pitty to harm the truck so the tire and wheels fit, it's like being a 38 waist trying to fit in a 34 waist pants, allisonb1013, 265 on the 22's are just fine, but I will stick to the 20's but after seen the 305's on the 22's and reading that venom_v8 had to cut parts in the wheel well make's me reconsider to leave my beloved truck stock , oh well, my two penny's.

Dont go to 22s unless you want it to ride like a dump truck. I just traded my Escalade for a GX which I am picking up today, going with 20s on it. I had 22s on the Caddy and they rode too rough for my wife.
Did look *****in, however!

the GX on 22s is still a good ride. then again, GM IS notorious for rough suspensions.

Default 22" on 285/45/22

This is my Boy's GX On 285/45/22 at first it was rubbing in the front .all we did was bend or cut a little pastic piece from the inner fender or skirts. and no problems with bumpy rides.

How do you guys like the look on this GX .Iwas thinking on going the same size tire cause of the nice ride not to bumpy.

he is going to have MAJOR problems with those tires on his truck, and so will you if you get that size. the rule when shopping for wheels is that you want to keep the same (or as close as possible) overall wheel diameter as your stock wheels. those tires are over 2 inches bigger! i can't believe someone sold him those! get ready for abs problems, traction control problems, etc etc etc!! this would be a reason to be concerned about your warranty too.
