Default I would be careful

That ad says the 8000k HIDs are brighter than any other color but in fact the higher up the Kelvin chart you go the less light you will get. 6000k are the highest up the Kelvin chart I would go because you loose 20% lumen output from 4300k HIDs which are OEM HIDS you see on most cars. 8000k HIDS would give you alot of purple and blue which would reduce the amount of visible light put out by the bulbs. Philips, Osram, Hella would never put out a 8000k bulb so these bulbs in the ad must have a blue or purple film on them.

Check out Xenondepot.com first before you buy sometimes the price you pay for a cheap set is not worth it after install and then you have to buy the good kits to start all over. Do a search alot of us put the Genuine Philips kits from Xenondepot in under 45 minutes with plug and play.

That was great, good advise, I personally dont have the least idea of how hid's work or which bulb is right for me etc.etc., but just wondering, for example I get this set and just change the bulb's, will it work??

I got my 6000K kit from XenonDepot shortly after Tony. It is the best kit available. Easy install and it looks totally factory. Best thing are the looks I get from other GX4y70 owners and seeing them scratching their heads.

I wouldn't get a kit from any other place.

i agree the best fit is the XD ones.. you can find others.. 8000k bulbs though out purple.. the 6000k ones thow out blueish white and the 4000's are all white, if i were to get hid's again i'd probally go with the 4000k ones as they are brighter.. dont doubt ne any hid's be it 8000k or 4000k or 6000k are gonna be brighter then your standard halogen lights

You will be better off if you get the 4300K HID, and it's cheaper than 6000k. It's the brightest and whitest on the road. But if you think the look is a bit more important, go with 6000k. Either one can't be wrong!!
