Funny but in 9 years of owning my Explorer I don't ever remember replacing a bulb. I just hope that the GX isn't plagued with the issue that the Chevy Trailblazer GMC Envoys have with their lighting systems.... ever see them on the road - guarneteed 1 of 3 will have one light or another burned out on it. My bro-in-law has one same time I got my GX, going thru bulbs like crazy.

I pulled the bulb out - and there it was. Anyone else have this problem?

DRL & turn signal bulbs
Since this thread is kind of old, I wondered if anyone has come up with a long life replacement bulb.
I carry a replacement as I have had the bulb blow 3 times in 20 mos and 55K miles. Last time, I replaced both of them at same time (one was still working). Problem seems to be that DRL's are on all the time, Lexus really should have designed a seperate turn signal. Dealer told me they can't turn DRL off. I explained that I would rather have a turn signal than DRL.
The only long life bulb my parts guy found is clear, which he said was not legal for front turn signal. I'm thinking that even a clear illegal bulb is better than no turn signal.
Any tips?
Thanks,
Bob

The bulb is a double filament, so actually, it has a separate turn-signal.
