Talking Switching teams...

After a year modding my GS430 and roaming the GS forums, I've sold it and bought an 04 GX. Just thought I'd introduce myself to my new fellow GXians.

Aloha!

Cool I did the same thing!

Welcome to the GX forum! I also spent a year roaming the GS forum and modding my GS400. I sold my gold GS400 and bought a blue GX470. I've had it 1 week so far and I love it.

Cool, same situation. Yeah, I hope I can love the GX as much as I loved my GS.

I may be joining you guys any time now. I've done so much hauling with my father in law's previa that I will need to bigger car soon and I don't want to drive in a Sienna It's so hard to let go of my GS after seeing so many mods being done to the GS.

Default Things I miss from my GS4

I miss the HID headlights from my GS400. To solve this problem, I may add a xenon kit to my GX470 at some point in the future.

this thread makes me laugh.

my boyfriend has an '01 gs300. i love that car. i think it's one of the nicest looking cars around. i used to beg him to let me drive it. when the weather was cooperating we would drive in it all the time.

now that i have my truck ('04 gx) i hate driving the gs. after being in the gx it just feels so cramped and low to the ground. i told him that once and he looked at me like i have 3 heads...LOL

oh well....enjoy your trucks guys!!

Default Welcome

I had a GS400 also and love the GX. Just add the Xenondepot HID lights and you are good to go it takes 30 minutes to install and is plug and play. I did a write up on it. The HID lights on the GX look better than on the GS because it has the projector lens.

I kind of miss my 01 GS430, but had to move on to a more family oriented vehicle (RX330) and now need more room, so want a 05 GX470. Man I am just getting old here.

I am in the same situation as you and this is why we ( my wife included!!!) opt to get to the GX and not the Sienna. Minivans make you look reeeeal old instead of the SUV.

Default GX'SES

Had the same delimma... Keep the GS or buy the GX.... Solution: BOTH !! Granted, my GS4 is a 98, (still gorgeous though) allowing me to reasonably afford both... but, when it came between selling the GS400 or my 96 Ford Explorer to get it... I got visions of 2 "L's" in the garage and... well, enough said !! I tell you what, having both a GS and a GX in the driveway makes you not even want to USE the garage.... Such a pretty site to look out the front door and see them both....add that to the BMW sportbike (recently sold) and on Carwash day, you are certain to enjoy an envious smirk from a friendly neighbor or 2.

Enjoy your "L"s people.... you deserve em !

I also have a GS300 and a GX470 sitting in my garage. I just love the way they look in there.
