That is curious, isn't it. I wonder if they are doing some last minute testing. It would be interesting to know the actual percentage of GX owners that are having vibration, clunk and wind noise problems, and, if the word has come down to get those eliminated for the 2005 model.

No, 2004 GX470's are in our showroom right now. 2005' GX470's are coming in December. And typically the model end is in August while the new model start is in September. This has always been Lexus' cycle. This new cycle is highly unusual for us.

That said, why the GX takes until November to be ready with the new features, I have no clue. Maybe it has something to do with all the sharing it does with the 4Runner. Maybe the way they cycle the building of these things, they may not be able to start building new-featured GX's until they finish an initial build of 4Runners.
