Default Tire question on an 04

Thanks everyone for all the good info on this forum..

I have just purchased an 04 and have just taken a ride in it before delivery.

Here is the question. When I drove the demo a few days ago I was being very observant and critical looking for vibrations like the ones other people have described on the forum.

The demo trucks ride was very smooth..
The ride tonight in the truck that will be mine seemed to have some shake to it. Sometimes the shake seemed to come after hitting a small bump.
The difference between the 2 was that the demo truck had Dunlop grandtrek at20 tires and my truck had the bridgestone dueler ht.

Could the different tires lead me and maybe others to experience a less desirable ride ?
Any and all info on this will be appreciated I need to tell them to swap the tires by tomorrow morning
( if they will even agree to that !)

Thanks

Jon

Jon.....

My GX also had a slight vibration when I first purchased it. It came with Bridgestones. I replaced the Bridgestones with Michelin X-Terrains and get a softer ride with no vibrations.

Default Dunlops

My truck had a small shake only at high speeds but after they forced balanced the tires the ride was smooth as glass. The bad thing about the Dunlops is the wear rating is 300 which is crazy low for an all terrain tire. I've seen street sport tires that last longer. I did not know you could ask for a tire swap in the beginning or else I would have gotten the Michelins.

Default Lexus chromes for 04 GX?

Another question for y'all:
Any suggestions for chrome rims for my GX? I really don't want to change tire size but not sure what my options are. Does anyone out there have the Lexus chrome, and if so, what did they cost you? Hey Tony, you mention you have factory chromes, got any pictures?

I paid $850 for the chromed version (dealer installed) of the GX factory wheels.
