4300K vs 6000K
For those of you that have purchased the H11 xenon kits from Xenon Depot, did any of you buy the 4300K kit? Seems like most of us (including me) went with the 6000K. I love it to death, but the color on the road is still a little too blue/purple for me. I love the pure white of my factory HID RX300.
For those with the 4300K kit, how do you like the color?? We're going to be selling our Blizzard White GX to my father-in-law when the '05 GX's come out and get a new '05 GX. I will definitely put on another Xenon Depot kit.

4300k vs 6000k
4300k does put out more lumens and has a brighter appearance. 6000k does show more blue then im used to but when I put it next to my wifes factory HIDS they look better for visual appearance. I think I would probably use 4300k if you were looking for maximum light output and 6000k for looks. Both are 10 times better than halogen. 4300k tends to get yellow after they get warmed up. Do you notice the 6000k light up the street signs and reflectors alot more then 4300k?

I plan to buy the XenonDepot 4300K H11 kit for my GX470. I want my car to look as if it was equipped from the factory with HID. The 6000K kit is obviously too blue to be factory. Lexus uses 4300K in their factory HIDs. My GS400 had 4300K HIDs from the factory.
It's very easy to look at oncoming cars at night and detect aftermarket HID because a lot of people go with a color temperature that is too blue (or even purple). 4300K is nearly impossible to detect whether it is factory or not. The only way you can detect that it is not factory is for you to already have the knowledge that HID was not available on a certain year and model. Otherwise 4300K looks factory. People that have owned factory HIDs can spot aftermarket HIDs a mile away, unless you are using 4300K.

4300k here and I'm very satisfied. Only problem is that when they trigger on, it resets my K40.
Back to to thread, I wanted mine to look factory too. You can still see it's a little different than the stock lights, but it definitely doesn't stand out. It lights the road very well. I'd love somehow to add hi-beams to the kit.

If I had to do it again, I would get 4300K, because of the lumens. Although, it is a Great improvement over the stock bulbs and I really like the color.

6000k
From head on the 6000k does not look to crazy blue to say its a aftermarket set up. I've had many AUDI and BMW owners state that my lights look better than theirs. I would probably go with 4300k for light output if I did it again, but the 6000k is not bad either.

Its honestly a question of what you are looking for. The 4300k kit will provide you with approx 20% more light than the 6000k kit. However, the 6000k kit will have that "pupulish tinge" which many people like.
The nice thing about the 4300k bulbs is that they end up colour shifting within approx 100 hours. They will get slightly bluer with time. They are known to reach colour temperature of up to 4700k once they have fully colour shifted.

Its funny I'm on the E46fanatics club board for my '02 M3 and all the guys over there have OEM 4300k and they are all wanting to switch to 6000k bulbs and some people here that have 6000k bulbs want to switch to 4300k bulbs. I think people want what they don't have. Same with the guys over at the AUDI boards they all want the 6000k bulbs so they can look bluer. When I had my MDX all the guys over at that board wanted bluer 6000k bulbs vs 4300k bulbs to.

As you obviously have discovered, the 4300K's will give you more lumens. Which is why, like me, would get 4300K's if you had to do it again.
At the time I got mine, I don't believe that the 4300K kits were available for the GX. I may be wrong.
If ever, one of my bulbs burns out, I'll replace both with 4300's.

The 4300k and 6000k were available at the same time.
We do have a a couple of sets of 4300k H11 bulbs that we are looking to clear out. If anyone is interested just email me directly: info@xenondepot.com
