Like he said, "just because someone has a lot of money to spend doesn't make them "smart shoppers". I can understand where he is coming from. When I go out shopping for computers I have to go for the name brand and hope I get my monies worth, bang for the buck. But I know that there are computer geeks that know all of the comparisons and come out ahead of me. It's all about doing your home work.
I would get a 2005 4Runner Limited V8 as my low key, beater car on the side!

I am in my twenties, have no children and will probably not have kids anytime soon, which seems to be the only justification for having this feature. In addition, I never have passengers in my back seat. As for the 2005's with optional Sport Package: I am not a huge fan of the black pearl emblems or the black maple trim. Just my female opinion. I would however, love to see a picture showing a GX equipped with SP. Maybe it would change my mind on this....
Because you are young and money may or may not be a factor, this is the ONE true reason you should look into KDSS and the 2005 Optional Sports Package. Better handling, more power, sportier looks, something different than the standard version that all the older people are driving their kids in!

Good idea, lift it and put big AT/KO's on it and use it for rock crawling.

My Toyota guy just told me the V8 4Runners won't hit the lot until February.

That's strange since the new Sequoia with the VVTi is already on the lots. Maybe he wants to sell you a 4runner now and if he told you it would be only 1-2 months you might wait to buy the VVTi, but telling you it will be 4 months might help him close a sale today. I know it would be very strange for a "car salesmen" to lie or not know everything that is happening with his product but it does happen.

I agree, so I don't really know what's going on. I know they still hadn't posted the specs as far as mileage on that engine on the Toyota site as of the other day so I don't know if that means anything.
