GX Wood Trim Kit
I received the wood trim kit today. The wood is beautiful and the wood pieces are First Class. I'm waiting for a warm day to install some pieces, as the temperature has to be at least 70 degrees. When I do, I'll send pictures.

I agree that using the whole kit is too much. As I said in a previous post, I intend on using wood pieces that I think will be complimentary. I plan to use the pieces that go over the switches on the front and rear doors and the pieces that go on the front vents.
You might be pleasantly surprised. On the other hand, you might not. As someone else said, to each his own.

I doubt I'll add any more pieces. There's a round ring that goes around the Ingition Key, guess I'll add that to please the wife.
I've had wood kits intalled on other cars I've owned over the years. But none have had the quality the Sherwood Kit has. It's First Class.

Does the wood quality and color match the OEM wood panels?
I would like to buy the sport model GX and replace all the aluminum pieces with wood ones like the original GX had.

Hi Tony,
I have the the Extra kit installed by the dealer and it wasn't an exact match, BUT it was VERY VERY close. This is done at time of purchase as a 3rd party add-on by the dealer. It does look very VERY good, but you can tell there is a difference, because the CENTER console on the GX doesn't have the wood only the side where the vents are do. With the CENTER console piece installed between the two original side pieces, it was easier to tell the difference.
That said, I spent about $600 bucks @ autoanything and bought BOTH wood trim kits that they had available, for the GX, as a precaution that perhaps the Sheerwood and Woodview would be better than what Lexus dealer gave me...
...After receiving both kits and comparing them to what I have, they are about the same and I promptly shipped them back for a full refund, no issues with shipping...
I'm stating all of this to let you all know that, the 3rd party kits do come VERY VERY close to the original FACTORY pieces but are not an EXACT match. If you can get them cheaper than $250.00 on EBAY, DO go for it because they are EXPENSIVE...
