Got a call from the dealer to come see the GX . they got about 20 GX's that came in check out our baby and it is a 9700G and the vin #63345 is right baby. the saleman tells that this is the last order they got from 04 the rest will be 05's. and im so glad the GX has the michellin's tires,By friday will have a new baby.

I looked at the pictures with Great Interest. Mine is a 9700 C. It came with a trailer hitch bracket, but no hitch. However, there was a notch in the middle of the bumper that bothered me to no end. It looked like part of a woman's anatomy. So I went to the parts department and ordered a plain cover. However, the cover did not snap in because part of the hitch assembly was in the way. So, I took my sawzall and cut off part of the assembly. The plain cover fits beautifully.

In the pictures that you show, I notice that they now have a cover with a hump in it that will go over the metal that I cut off. So, it appears that anyone who is bothered by the notch can now get a cover that will just snap in place.

Does it have the passenger lumbar?

jacksonian, I just took delivery of my GX last week w/ vin x64463 and it indeed has the passenger lumbar support. I believe it is a 9700G model as it was built in Sept '04. Also, another small change between this and the earlier builds is that it has the latest 4.1 version DVD for nav - but I don't think it makes much difference than the 3.1

Thanks, sickman. I just put in an order for an '04 yesterday. My guy was going to have to have it transported up from GA because he didn't have the color I wanted on the lot. I was trying to make sure I could get one like yours with a late enough build to have the passenger lumbar, but I guess I'll just have to be surprised. He was giving me a good deal, so I guess beggers can't be choosers.

BTW, I have a 9700B GX from last November, so I'll be able to compare exactly what the differences are between the two.

Probably since they have been unable to fix that dreaded thump issue. They can't claim it is a LUV, cause an LUV would not have that issue present.

Just my thought (half jokeingly, half serious, fully disappointed)
