Hey Davidc1, I don't believe. Go ahead and get your new 2005 GX470, because you love everything about it and there is no way to catch up the latest and greatest. The GX is still in the middle of it's first gen life span and maybe it's the LX due up for a REVAMP? Either way, I still don't believe, but yet everything is still possible too.

I agree with the others. The LX is WELL known to be on it's last legs. The LX is expected to be new in April and announced at the show. Your source simply had the wrong character in the first position. It's the LX, not the GX that is getting the re-work (To make it look more like a GX I am told).

Right. Makes sense. Should have thought about it a little. Now I am very comfortable. Come to think of it, 4Runner/GX hasn't been around that long. And yes, no matter what happens GX still a great vehicle.

That has to be impossible. I might even begin to suspect if it was directly from Edmund not a poster with hear say of some dealer.

It seems worth it and if this is what you are getting, keep us updated on the added cost.

Your new 05 GX should be on it's way right? Only a couple more weeks or even a week away! The wait should be over soon!
Hey Everyone,

Congrats on setting down a deposit on your GX lexguynj. Nice color choice (black). We are also getting the same thing.

I think the protective paint coat is what we are getting. Our dealer used a different word, and referred to it as "TFT" I think. But from the link you gave me, it does look nice on the LS they have shown there.

We should be expecting our car about a week before Christmas. It's weird, because we were part of the first allocation, so I was expecting it about the beginning of next week. It's all cool, as long as we get it before the Holidays.

Happy Waiting Everyone. Hopefully, whoever gets there car first can give us all a good review (especially about the upgraded engine).

Hey Nas, Congrats to you too and a Black Exterior will be tough to clean, but looks even better clean. Keep us updated when you have more details on your vehicle arrival!
