Default Tire sensors

I have a 08/03 build date 04, do I have the tire sensors and if not can I retrofit them?

Thanks, Cary

I believe that option came out on later 04 models. I think the "E" build and newer ones have the sensors. SInce they communicate with the computer in the car, I don't think it is possible to retrofit your car with them.

Look in your Owners Manual, Page 71, to see how the Low Pressure Warning Light works. When you start the truck, this light will come on (instrument cluster) and go out after a couple seconds. My truck has it and it's a 9700E, built in January.

My luck, page 71 is not like yours. I guess I won't have the ability to upgrade.

Thanks, Cary

I have the 9700 "C" build and have both the Tire Sensors and Backup Camera. Bought truck in late December, 2003.

Cool! I got mine in February 2004 and the dealer told me the "E" builds were the first ones to have the sensors, guess they were wrong! Shame on them!
