GX470 Sirius Radio

Got 'er done Cap. Dremmeled a new rectangle out for the antenna wire and power wire to come in on the left side of the upper console. I'm going with a plug and play unit (Starmate Replay $50 after rebate) to take in and out of the house. Having the antenna installed Monday - same place as yours. I'll try to post a pic of the done deal to compare, giving you full credit of course!

Antenna pick
Just like Caps - the wire hides under the weather stripping and around the driver's side of the windshield, into the engine compartment, through the firewall, into the cab, completely hidden. No cutting or drilling required. Very nice, neat and clean!
Note: The wire does NOT get shoved through the weather stripping as stated in the install directions for the player!

SIRIUS Starmate
Bought it for the fit ($50 after rebate Circuit City) Had the antenna and power professionally ran to the sunglasses cup per Cap's suggestion ($50 at local stereo shop - Circuit City wanted $180 to install - and that doesn't even count the player!). When closed (and it usually is) player is completely hidden. Operated by remote. FM modulated and sounds surprisingly good.
If I had a newer GX (I have an '04) I would definately NOT do this. I would have the sat radio run through the stock one as stated in other posts
Also, this is a plug & play unit. I take this in and out of my house regularly. It's quite convenient!
And yes, that is a goofy shot of me in the rearview!
