24+ hrs in the GX: Pics and stories
This past week I drove down to the Florida Keys from New Jersey. I have to say that it was a pleasure in comparison to the last time I did it in a non-Lexus. The trip was great and the Nav saved me MANY times. I had no problems with the car; this just proved what a well-made automobile we have. I give a big to Lexus for their work. The ride was smooth the whole way and even at higher speeds (Never over the speed limit ) it was a solid ride. The seats were superbly comfortable and it was time well spent.
However, when I got down the car was loaded with bugs (see pic 1 for proof and that was only by Georgia!) as you can imagine. I stopped at a local car wash (I missed the fancy ones up by me, anybody want to open up a nice car wash in the keys?) that got some of the bugs off. Then I went searching for picture ops. It turned out the nicest picture was at a place I had dinner the night before's parking lot. I also tried the best I could to get one like they have with the RX on some bridge there but wasn't so successful ( I didn't have a helicopter). Anyway, here are a few I took. They are huge and great for desktop backgrounds.
Here is one of the pics. Use the other links below for more (didn't want to completely kill u guys on the downloads)
ENJOY!
(Cheeca is the name of the resort I was at)

New renovated rooms were SWEET! (42 inch plasmas in each room!)
AND the best restaurant in the keys is in the lobby!( really the best 3; there are 3 restaurant choices.

I lived in Key West for a year back in 1970-71 I was in the USMC at the time. I bet it looks different 34 years later. Guess I should of bought that old two story Counch house with the wrap around porch and rented it out for the last 34 years :-)
