Looking for a factory chrome tail pipe for 2005 GX470
I am looking for a chrome tail pipe slip on for my 2005 GX470. My dealer carries them, but they are $75.00. Has anyone seen a web site where they are cheaper? I know you can go to Midas, but I'm not sure I like them.
Thanks

Toyota 4runner
We used the 4runner's on our 04's. If I remember, it was around $40 plus shipping.
Can get off of the Toyota parts website. It takes about 5 minutes to install and looks good.

Install?
How is it actually installed? The web site says single bolt and no drilling. Is there any welding? Does it slide over the original pipe? Do I need to take it to a muffler shop and have the old pipe cut off and this one welded in?
Thanks

donger, i just installed the tip this past weekend, took less than 2 minutes. all it takes is turning a nut with a wrench. the instuctions were easy. i bought my from here (you may find less elsewhere)

angelex, nice job with the photos, but i think you need one more pic to show the "half circle" metal opening. it may confuse someone who can't figure out from the pics how the tip is being held in place to the existing exhaust pipe.
now my questions is...
what recommendation you suggest to prevent it from being "gulp" swiped!

Thanks all - those pictures helped. When you look straight down the pipe, I am guessing you see 2 pipes, one inside the other.
Overall, looks like a easy and inexpensive way to add a little detail to your truck.
