2004 GX 470 Company Car
I just inherited a 2004 GX-470 from a former employee at my company.
Since he left involuntarily, I didn’t get much info on the car and what was supposed to be in it. (No DVD Remote, no manuals, no instructions on anything …) Basically he took everything that wasn’t bolted down.
I’ve figured out how to work lot of things by trial and error and how to watch DVDs on front and Rear screens using the steering wheel mode selector and the front touch-screen.
Now my kids keep asking me to figure out how to hookup a PlayStation to the rear seat video monitor. I found the 110AC plug in the back and the ON/OFF control for it on the driver’s panel and the 110 AC is working fine. There are three RCA jacks on the front of the rear-seat AC controls marked Video (Yellow) and Audio (Red-White). I plug in the PlayStation to 110AC and these jacks, but there is no picture or sound.
Is this something I can only use if I have the DVD player’s remote?

One other thing...
I keep reading about Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)..
How would I know if it's included in my 2004 GX-470?
Any buttons or markings I'd see somewhere?
It has buttons on the middle console that say things like DAC, Height Control, Comfort/Sport...
It seems to have every other option that was available, Front/Rear DVD, NAV, RearView Video, Woodgrain Interior, Mark Levinson speakers, 6-Disk CD, towing hitch... not sure what all was available in 2004 for options or which packages came with KDSS.
One thing for sure, the voice control is useless...

I can't help with the PS2 since I have aftermarket monitors. Sorry about the fact that he took everything. What an idiot. I reccomend going to Lexus and ordering everything that is missing. The manual is a necessity for all of the features of the car. I hope you enjoy the GX. Good luck. You will probably really enjoy it.

Does your 2004 have it?
Is there a way to tell "yes / no" by looking at it or will I have to go back to the dealer to find out ?
