I have the SC430 and thinking of getting a SUV. I have looked at the gallery of pictures and did not see any so I thought I would ask.

1) Do they make any body kits for the GX470?
2) Do they make a different grill?
3) Anyone know of any pictures for the "sport package"?

 

For 1 and 2, I haven't seen any, unless it's a product from Japan, the Prado.
Here's #3 for now. Use "sports package" in the GX model in the advanced search.

There is a billet grill available out there. I saw one on a black GX the other day. It actually looked pretty damn good! I saw some billet grill pix a while ago on this site. If you search for it, you'll find it.

 

Interesting that you have an SC430 and want an SUV because next year my wife and I will be replacing our 1995 SC400; our choices are the SC430 or the GX470. Since you can directly relate to this, do you regret buying the SC? My service writer says that we should go with the GX because the SC is pretty much useless except for fantastic open-air driving. We have no kids yet and my wife does drive 60 miles round trip per day to work, so justfying the GX is getting difficult with fuel approaching $3 here in Texas.

 

I had an '02 SC430 for 4 years and then we bought an '05 GX. Now have sold the SC and have a MB SLK55 AMG.

Depends on your needs.

I luv'd the SC and you can get more stuff in it, then you think (back seat and some in the trunk, more with the top up). But you're not going to haul fertilizer or potting soil in it. And you're not going to take 4 adults out to dinner in it.

 

Yes they do make a body kit for the GX .they use to sell it here http://www.l-tunedparts.com/model/st...=8&model_id=11 and now for some reaso is not here anymore and the only other place is http://www.japanparts.com/shop/shop....ts%2fBody+Kits Good Luck. by the way I have order from Japan parts and no problems.

I love my SC430 but we are trying to start a family. The SC430 is a great car and is a lot of fun. After having two other convertibiles, the hardtop is the only way to go. I have not had much problem in room, you can fit two golf bags in the back seat (what more could you want?).
