Azn_Pride - DRL's are:
Effective in preventing daytime head-on and front-corner collisions by increasing vehicle conspicuity and making it easier to detect approaching vehicles from farther away.

You should be given a complimentary first service from your dealership, which includes a list of personal settings. The DRL bypass may not be on the paper listing you're given so you'll have to tell the service writer.

I just returned from having the 1st service done on my 05 GX. I mentioned to disable the DRL's but after the vehicle was done, they said they can only do what is on the LPS list from the Lexus web site. But I just looked in the 05 service manual and it says that the DRL's can be turned off. So I just called up the service writer and told him to have a mechanic who knows what he is doing look it up. I even gave them the page number and paragraph. I wish I had the computer so I could do it myself. So much for Lexus Elite dealerships. Now if they do figure out how to do it, it will be another 182 mile round trip. What a waste of time and fuel.
Hey LexusTech, have you actually disabled the DRL's on anyones GX? Thanks
