I just purchased a 2005 GX470 with all options except KDSS for $300 over invoice 2 weeks ago from the Lexus dealership in Oakland, CA.

Seems that every once in a while people will post that they got "Invoice" for a car but not reveal EXACTLY what they got and what they paid. I do applaud those that might be able to and based on the fact that the gas situation has made these things tough to sell. Just wondering EXACTLY what the final number and features were? I paid $46,406 for everything but KDSS for my '04. Based on this thread I would think that you guys are getting fully loaded ones for under $45K?

That was all dealer fees but not taxes (since tax rates are different everywhere including taxes paid doesn't make much sense in this type of comparison). I thin kit was about $800 over invoice at the time.

I bought mine on Sept 1, 2005 fully loaded (Nav, RSES, spoiler, third row seats) except KDSS for $47,500 ($1000 over invoice). Gas prices went up the day after I bought mine. So I am sure dealers might be willing to do much better than that but at that time I felt I got a really good deal. I had contacted dealers in Michigan, GA, SC, VA, DC and NC.

RX469, a dealer in detroit gave me the $1000 above invoice deal. I took it to my local dealer (Johnson Lexus of Raleigh) to see if he would match it and he matched it for me. I talked to other dealers after that to see if they could do any better and they all said no. They said they wouldn't be even able to match it. As I said with the gas prices going up, I am sure dealers would be willing to do even better than what I got but I am happy with the deal I got. Good luck with your search.

Ok, so here's my question now........you said the dealers replied to you with, "They said they wouldn't be even able to match it." Is that the same as ~ we would not sell it for that price?~

RX469 - I also bought mine from Johnson Lexus in Raleigh, NC. I am from Charlotte but was willign to buy the trunk from ANYWHERE in the country. I had extensive discussions with dealers from MInnesota to Texas as well as the east coast. At one point, I had though the best deal was from a dealer just outside of Atlanta but after all the "details" were fully disclosed (dealer charges, taxes, etc), Johnson Lexus was the lowest dealer by about $500. I did have to wait about a month before mine came in but it was 100% EXACTLY what we wanted (RSES, NAVI, M/L Sound, rear seats, etc. everything but KDSS) and was a very agressive price (Apparently around a thousand under what others are paying as near-invoice for the 05's so I can only assume that either there was a $1,000 increase in INVOICE price from 04 to 05 or else some of these Invoice numbers aren't really inoice #'s. Either way, Johnson Lexus took good care of us. Paid a large cash and got 60-month/4.49% financing as well directly from them at the time (they matched the lowest rate I could get at the time). Probably helped that we were already Lexus owners and didn't have any trade to deal with (since I sell all my cars personally rather than take trade losses). My rep there was Breandon Read. Nice guy and did everything he said he would.

Got a new one for $43,500 with 3rd row seat and Rear Spoiler in August. I don't kow how close to invoice price.

Is that price also include the Navigation/Mark Levinson sound system? If so, then it is a great price. Why don't you help the original poster and give him the name of your dealer/saleperson so he can pursue the deal. That kind of deal is rare in my area. Both Dorschel and Northtown Lexus in western New York will do only $47000( MSRP$ 52788) for a GX470 with 3rd seating, Nav/Mark Levinson sound, rear spoiler and cargo mat/net/wheel lock. No Navigation/Mark Levinson sound system, but with cargo mat/net/wheel lock. The sticker MSRP is about $49,xxx, plus $500 for the rear spoiler(I added this option). So the total MSRP is about $50,000. If you are in LA, you can contact Lexus Of Valencia.
