Default Metric

Does anyone know if you can change the values in the display that shows temp, fuel consumption and a lot of other data to metric values?

Sure can. Well, you can if you have nav. And I don't think that it will change everything. but I know that it will change the miles to km. You can do it in the setup menu in the nav. screen. Maybe it will change the info in the top center display as well.

This only changes the data on the nav screen. It does nothing to the little clock display in the center of the dash.

According to the Manual, for cars in Canada it's in metric. Implies either a separate assembly for the display (which I doubt) or an ability to set it to either English or Metric. However, it does not appear to be customer settable. Suggest you ask your Service Writer to investigate.

My bet is that it is nothing more than a software difference.

My GX in Canada has metric and I hate it (mpg becomes a weird "litres per 100 km", not even "km per litre"). Might be an internal setting that you can change if you open up the display.
