What's JDM ? I thought these taillights are from Toyota Prado only.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=179142

What are the specs on the rims you have on your GX? They look like they are from a 4runner and if they are, are they the same specs as the Lexus OEM 17" rims and can be swapped out?

They look different and seem to have more spokes which remind me of the rims on the 4runner sport of maybe they are the new 18" 4Runner Limited rims?

lexguynj is right, the wheels are off a 4th gen 4runner sport which are also offered on the land cruiser prado.

Hey Laziiek4,

Thanks for the confirmation and they look great. Are they the same size as the GX stock rims and tires? I am getting tired of the GX stock rims and would love to have the 4runner rims on my GX or even better the new 18" 4 Runner Limited rims on the GX. Is it that easy to just switch them out? Thanks again.

lexguynj,
the 4runner wheels are pretty much the same. the only difference i see is that the sport wheels stick out slightly farther. or maybe it's just the effect that the spokes have flaring out. either way i love it! the GX tires swap over with no prblems. i even went as far as removing the center emblems to the lexus ones so i don't have to hear my dealership say "why you puttin teeyoota rims on a lexus?" the new 18" limited wheels look AWESOME too! i'm going to wait and maybe swoop up a set of used ones.

Great minds think alike! The factory wheels are not agrressive enough and everyone has them. I don't want to get huge rims like 20+, 18's would be ideal that is why the new 4Runner looks so great with those 18" rims. The Lexus optional 17" rims is OK, but if you are going to change why not go to the new 4runner's 18" rims! My ranting and raving is found in the link below:

lexguynj,
the 18" limited 4runner wheels looks like a better GX optional wheel. i wonder why the 4runner is getting all these cool updates? (LED tailights, 18" wheels, tube steps) while the GX remains basically the same. at least we can share parts with the 4runner

flipside909,

Do you think it will be as easy as just swapping out the 17" GX rims for 18" Factory Toyota 4Runner rims with tires or do we have to make any modifications to the tire width, etc...

lexguynj,
the 18" limited wheels and tires should fit fine without any modifications.

Thanks - now just where to buy them. I am being quoted $280+NJ Tax per rim (optional GX470 17" rim) and can just have my tires from my factory rims transferred. Then what do I do with my original rims? Anyone want to buy? I still would love the 18" rims.
