Default brakes

I just got an 06 Lexus. When we traveled on the highway we noticed a small vibration when the brake is applied. Can you tell me if this is normal or is something wrong? It is minimal and brakes are working well. No diagnostic lights are on. No clunk sound so far but only have 500 miles on the car. TIA.

Babygirl,
I just got an 06 GX over the weekend with 25 miles on it and I got the same brake vibration problem like your GX, I read the GX manual and it said that it is normal for the brake to make a little sound and vibrate when you apply the brake a few time in a short distance, after reading the manual, I went out and tested the GX to see if it would happen again if I apply the brake a few time in a distance 25- 30 feet, and it does. I don't think it is a problem.

I hope this information help,

Tnlcao.

Insure the lug nuts are torqued to 76 Foot Pounds. Over tightening will warp the rotors and cause vibration. Just loosen and retighten each one to specs.

My 06 owners manual says to torque the lug nuts to 83 ft. lbs. I guess the difference is minimal.
