Default Cold Air Intake

Hey, i was wondering if anybody has installed a cold air intake. I did some research and didn't find any that made cold air intakes for gx-470s but they do have *** for toyota sequioas and 4runners. I was wondering if that setup will fit the gx-470. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

i've never been a fan of CAI's. with my old 3rd gen 4runner with the 3.4L, aftermarket intakes were proven to actually lose power. also coming from the honda scene, CAI's made high end power on our motors, but you would sacrafice torque,low-end power, and throttle response, all of which would hurt our V8's.

on my old 3rg gen 4runner it was actually better to remove the elbow on the air box where it draws air and add a high performance oem replacement filter. it not only added torque but power as well. imho, i belive the GX will react the same way.
here's a link to the filter i'm using in my GX, so far i'm extremely satisfied with it's performance and it only costs 40 bucks.

Buy a K&N CAI for V8 4Runner, it should fit on the GX470. My brother have a 05 V8 4Runner with a K&N CAI and side by side both engine arrangment are the same, except for the plastic engine covers. I bought one for the 4 runner and I'm sure it will fit the GX.
