Mid Year Updates to GX470?
New forum member here and potential buyer of GX470. Had a couple of questions that I would like to throw open to the group.
1) Does Lexus do Mid-Year updates on their cars? BMW typically does a mid-year update around March and was wondering if Lexus does something similar. Also, in the RX330 brochure it mentions "XM radio available February 2006" so thought that maybe that was also a clue that updates could be forthcoming.
1a) If Lexus does do mid year updates, does anyone here know what to expect and when? If the RX330 is scheduled to get XM radio capability in February, would it follow that the other Lexus models would as well?
I am in the market for a GX470 but would really like Sat Radio (XM is preference) and Lexus Link (which doesn't appear to be available on any models except those with the "Sport" package).
I am willing to wait a few months if anyone here has the insight that these 2 items (XM/Sirius and Lexus Link) will be available.

I have an 06 GX 470 with nav with XM installed via navigation. Not sure about Lexux link. I doubt they will do mid year update. There is hardly any difference between 05 and 06 except bluetooth. Your dealer should be able to put XM in. They gave it to me for free because I was one of the ginny pigs, but it works beatifully and not ugly like the ones that go in the sunglasses holder.

'grats on the GX, but FYI the 05' has Bluetooth also! I'm using mine with my Cingular Sony Ericsson! Some of the differences between the 05' and 06' models are newer paint colors, coat holders in the rear w/o third row seating, and Lexus Link. There are one or two more minor options but off hand I can't remember!
