I have some questions.

I am sorry and hope these don;t sound stupid but some things on the wifes SUV i cannot for the life of me figure out.

1st: how do I tell if i have backup camera installed in the GX that we have, we have navigation and I thought that we would have the back up camera option.

2nd: I am trying to figure out a few things in the navigation set up etc etc

#1 is it possible to et rid of the start up "I agree" screen at every start up?

#2 what does the "Rear off" touch screen option on display do or mean, there is no "rear on" touch screen button.

I also am having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to set the front driverside memory for the seats mirrors etc etc.

3rd: anything I should be aware of or keep an eye on that is a very common occurence nusiance or problem with most of these vehicles?

any tips u guys can provide for me on these few questions i have?

Hey Dan,

Backup Camera comes with the RES entertainment package and NAV, both options had to be installed. To operate it, you simply put the truck into reverse and the camera comes to life no buttons to push, nothing to set.

I Agree screen, without hardware hacks (warranty voided) or a hidden module (plug in type with Lexus Connectors), you CANNOT disable this screen. I've had the truck since March 05' and I've gotten used to this by mid April 05' it's really not that bothersome (IMHO)

(PS> ADD-ON module is called the NAV kit from www.coastaletech.com, at this time, it's still VAPORWARE, I've had one of these on order since LATE July 05'....)

Rear Off, never seen this before, but I'm assuming this coming on as you put the truck into reverse? If so, it's just letting you know that there is no REAR camera, better yet, MAYBE I'm wrong and you do have a REAR camera and diagnostics are letting you know it is OFF. I would bring it to the dealer to CONFIRM...

Memory settings L1 & L2.... Does the memory function work for the SEAT position and the Steering wheel tilt? please provide more details of the problem you are experiencing with your mirrors?

yeah the seats work and the mirrors work, i just cannot figure out the correct order to adjust and lock in the memory of the seats.

any help?

Adjust the seat, side mirrors and steering wheel in any order. Make sure you have transmission in park. Hold the set button and button 1 or 2 until you hear a beep and you are good to go.

You are talking about a 2005 or 2006 GX, right? When you said "brand new", I wasn't sure if you were talking about yourself, the truck or both.

The rear backup camera comes with the Mark Levinson/Navigation option. You don't have to get the RSES to have the rear backup camera.

new to me its a 04' gx. wierd we have the mark stereo but no vd player in rear seating which makes me think since we have nav we would or should have the back up camera oh well

The early 2004s do NOT have Rear View Cameras.

The GXs that hit the states in Dec of 2003, do.
