Where and how much did you pay for the westin safari bar ??(autoanything.com)
I went for T&H Euro Grill Guard, still waiting my shipment.

Awesome. Much prefer these functional mods over the normal GX 22" chrome spinner-type.

Any rubbing with the MTRs? How do they drive? Extra weight effect performance?

thanks guys

david- i was lucky enough to find the bar used for $70 from a member at 4runner.org
don't think i've seen the T&H on a GX (post pics after you install it, i'd love to see it)

bgsntth- no rubbing at all with the taller tire. as far as performance, they don't grip as well as the michelin cross terrains on road, but the performance is awesome for a MT/R on and off road and the weight of the tire didn't effect the GX at all.

That looks really nice, but there seems to be a crossbar over the license plate. The State of NJ gets kind of unfriendly about that.

Do you mount the license plate in front, or is there a way to lower the crossbar?

Looks great Purplehazek4! That GX is looking like it's starting to get some serious cred

Not a fan of the add-on hoops but I like that black hoop alot better than the chrome one- looks more integrated and sporty.
I like how the black one is shaped like a mirror reflection of the grille/hood shape and it does look good and functional w/ those nice accessory lights

David- that's a nice bar! is that middle bar there for mounting lights?

Peter- i bought the taillights from japanparts.com, good service and speedy shipping.

James- that's cool how you noticed the "mirror effect" that's the same reason i why bought it.
i wasn't too fond of the add on hoops either, especially with the extra loss of approach angle clearence. i still would love to go with ARB, but they can't seem to help me very much. oh well, guess i'll just remove the safari bar everytime i go wheeling. still have the sliders? how's the LC?

It looks nice. The simple and stainless steel look is okay with the L. Most everything else looks out of place.

I saw a California GX470 parked outside a restaurant I went to down here that had that bar and the license plate was not obstructed. The second bar shown in the picture that obstructs was lower. I was wondering if it might have been a custom job down here in Mexico, where we have Toyota but no Lexus. If I happen to see it again, will take a photo. We have some similar bars for our RX300s, but nothing as beautiful as the one for the GX470.
