Why? And be aware, in most cases it is illegal (not that the chances are great you would get ticketed just for that).

>why not?......<

Saying it is generally illegal seemed like an awfully good reason to me.

Default I agree

I would like to have them both on too. The fog lights are essentially useless but they do give a slightly wider illumination which I use all the time. Why would it be illegal to keep them on all the time....???

Default Fog Lights and High Beams

I am also going to wire my Fog Lights so that they stay on when I turn on the High Beams. As you know, the Low Beams stay on when the High Beams go on.

I am going to use a relay, which will be activated by my Low Beams. So when my Low Beams are on, so will my Fog Lights.

I realize that the Fog Lights will be on all the time, but so what, I have them turned on all the time anyway.

Thanks for bringing the subject to my attention, as I've thinking of doing this for a long time.

In the USA, it is illegal for any vehicle to have more than 4 headlights/foglights activated at one time. That's the law. Whether you would actually get a summons for it, who knows.

Great answer, same one I would get from my pre-teens, all the time.

My point was, is there some issue you have, that perhaps the forum could give you alternative suggestions.

For example, do you feel you don't have a wide enough field of view at night. Or you believe the fogs would give you better shortrange while the high beams are aimed further out, etc.

And if it just for looks, that's fine too, and then we won't propose alternative solutions.

Default Fog Lights and High Beams

Loflin.....

As I mentioned before, I always run with my Fog Lights on. Sometimes, when there is a curve ahead, I flip the High Beams on to see better around the curve, but don't want to loose my Fog Lights. Also, I live in hilly country where I like to light up what's coming up when going down hill and vice versa.

SOME people try to be helpful in this forum, unlike your post!

If there was some lighting issue he was concerned about, the forum might have some suggestions. Like changing to HIDs, etc.

So far the only ***** I see in these posts is the one name calling.

So if you don't have any helpful suggestions, we can do without your posts, really.

**Let's try to be civil - responding to name calling with more name calling is not cool. Thanks, the CL mods.**

People with restriction on there driver license not to drive at night should not try to break the law by modifing there automobile so they can beat the system. Having high beam on only pissed off on-coming driver and not to mention it against the law.

If you still can't see try to installing a coupe of BAJA spot light on your roof. I you still can't see than I suggest you not drive at night. People like you only indanger other by stander.
