Nice.

I usually dislike white cars and trucks, but the GX470 is the one vehicle that I think looks absolutely gorgeous in white.

Not for me though - I'm not that good about keeping it clean (around here that could be a full time job, and I use my garage all the time).

Default Question: With an ultra-capable GX, why do you have a winter car?

While a FWD Maxima may be OK in the snow, I'd imagine a GX would be many times better! And safer.

I know the GX is much safer but the Maxima has remote start and i can program it to start and warm up the car before I go home.

ALso i rather people hit my maxima than my Lexus. Crazy people driving in the winter especially when they try to park there bigass truck into little spaces at the supermarket or at the mall even at work . they hit your car and take off.

Beside I been paying insurance on this maxima for over 7 yr and never made a claim, it time for them to pay me back. J/K

Hi Peter,

Good call, I find myself, parking WAY WAY way out in left field when shopping at the supermaket/mall... drives the WIFE insance...

Better for her to be a "little upset" than for me to have a scratch...

I have the 95 Maxima (also front wheel drive) and rarely take it out in snow - having an SUV for years does that.

I've only gotten to take my GX out once (only had it less than two weeks) in a minor icy and snowy condition. Not much of a test, but so far no complaints.

As for parking, hubby is always teasing me that I found the furthest spot in the lot. One of the local supermarkets has a kind of tongue in cheek sign up - "this spot reserved for people who want to walk for a healthy heart" or some such. I usually walk past the sign from where I park...

I just wondered, how did you retrofit the HID light on your GX470? just replace the blub ? or did you modified projector housing? In the Lexus website I can't see the option for it....
