Default CoastalETech - Excellent news!

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to let you know that CoastalETech is now mentioning the Bluetooth enabled NAV kits directly on their site, and they are going to begin supporting LEXUS officially when they are back online...

2 week hiatus due to NEW baby girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!

We will make the Nav Enhancement/Bluetooth Kit, Audio and Video kits for the Lexus available as soon as possible. We have new products for your application as well (plus a few added features) and will make them available as soon as we catch up, so give us a couple of weeks.
http://www.coastaletech.com/

Enjoy!

Does this mean Coastal Tech will have the kit for disabling the "I agree" function for the Lexus GX470? Given that they are Pirus owners, perhaps doing something for SUV owners is idealogically distasteful for them???

The one for the Prius will work on the '05 GX470. I installed it a few days ago, and it's working perfectly. I would think that it'll also work on the '06 model. Not 100% sure though.

Default Post if you received Nav/BT...

Well, placed my order for the Nav/BT today. Will post if and when I receive it.

I hope posters gives Costaletech a break. You can obviously see that they are a small operator with other more significant priorities than this business. It is not their fault that the've stumbled across a product that is in such demand. Just be patient, or opt for the hardwire mod published in the other parts of this forum.

Actually, phone dialing from the cell keypad or phone book may be easier than the Lexus touchpad! The only problem I've experienced is the BT transfer delay. Of course, we should not be using the phone while driving!

Hey you guys. I've just recently read up on this and i have a few questions. So this product would make the i agree button disappear. But my question is what about the bluetooth? Does it mean like if my 04' gx don't have bluetooth, it would now have it? Also it mentioned on their website about the ability to change destination points while you're driving, i was just wondering if it was true. so if that is true, then can the passenger watch dvd's in the front while the driver is driving? I'd have to say this kit is amazing. I'm hoping that it is plug and play like it says on their website. Maybe we can get like a group buy discount or something, eventhough its just about as cheap as it can get. Thanks

LexGX,

This is only for the 05' (06' MAYBE), and it will bypass the "I Agree" nav button in the very beginning when you first startup your car. It does this by automatically touching the "I Agree" button for you, or at least it fools the nav system into thinking it was pressed. Then it will automatically perform the "NAV Hack" well documented in MULTIPLE threads here on this board and others and is TAG as a sticky at the top of the GX470 forum.

As Cap, can atest, it does NOT work on the 04' model, different connector. Also it does not give you bluetooth, instead if your 05' (06' model MAYBE) is bluetooth equipped then when you are driving your passesnger can use the NAV's touchscreen to input the number to be dialed. Otherwise, the option is "GHOSTED" out, unavailable for you to use as a safety pre-caution.

Is it possible for them by anychance to get it for the 04'? I"m very interested. I'm not very good with my hands unless its totally plug and play. Hopefully they'll come out with one in the future. Thanks for information.

Default Nav/BT Shipments?

Hey, I just visited Coastaletech's website and noticed that they have announced shipments of Nav/BT kits for preorders. Has anyone received one yet? What is the price of this mod?

I placed an order even though they stated that they would not be taking any more orders.
