Sirius radio reception: What are people's experiences with roof and windshield (m)

antennas? I've got a roof mounted one and get great reception on the open road. But, in more tree/house lined areas there can be drop outs and the like. Underpasses and the like are worse still. Total blanking out, which is to be expected as this is a line of sight device if memory serves.
What are others' experiences here? I've got an LX antenna centered on the roof just ahead of the rear spoiler, so its got a pretty good 360 degree view of the sky except, of course, for any signal that might be bouncing off the road and back towards the roof!

Yes same story... dropouts (though always at the same spot on a highway for example) and through underpasses etc... though there is a little bit of buffer memory so if the underpass is short the radio will keep playing (it caches some data ahead of time).... so bottom line its so-so... good most of the time but blackouts are annyoing...
