i am considering a used gx470.....2004 with nav / ML and 38K miles, for $36 K (very good condition, no accidents, color scheme I like, not 1st choice but still OK).......A new one with more power is about (MSRp 53ish) $47 at Lexus through fleet sales.....It is hard to decide......Any inout is appreciated ....

Go for the new one, rumor has it that the GX will soon have LED tail lights, Keyless start and upgrade Nav.

I don't think LED lights or any other slight enhancement is worth $11k, I'd go for the used one, that's a pretty darn good price.

Thanks for the input, the 06 i just drove did not have the smart key or led's, maybe the 07 will but i want to get one now, not in 5-6 months when 07 arrives....

So I went and picked up the GX470, got is for 34,500 plus licence....very happy with it. It has 37K miles, Lexus did all the services including the big 30K mile service. No accidents, excellent condition, 3rd row seats/ ML /NAV . I just need to get a copy of the 5.1 nav DVD, can I get someone to burn a copy for me ?? I love this SUV.

You would need a dual layer DVD burner but I doubt that its legal to make copies and sell/give to others.

Didn't you just post how your dealer was trying to alter your transaction? You argued how unfair it was and threatened legal action until you prevailed.

So you can buy a luxury vehicle but you'll steal software. It's this kind of attitude that has limited fair use of music with DRM crap and companies like Sony putting the rootkit install sh&t on music CDs.

Besides; Stealing is Stealing no mater how you try to justify it.

OK so you dont have a single mp3 file you never paid for...OK, even in 12/03 when the vehicle was delivered, the nav map was not complete for streets that were there 6 months prior in my neighborhood, that is BS. You pay for something and you should have its functionality for free. I know this has been discussed in other threads, yes it is possible to burn a double layer DVD and can be done, is it necessary for me, not really, i just drive down a road that seems to end and park in the hill that is designated there, just not on a street, not a big deal

So this entitles you to "just acquire it". If no one pays for an upgrade it sure ain't gonna get upgraded.

We were discussing illegally copying a DVD. It’s not just my opinion it’s law. My opinion is the disdain I feel when people believe that if they can get something from a computer they didn’t steal it. It is stealing just a plain as going into your local Best Buy and slipping an iPod into your pocket and walking out without paying. It is theft.

EyeKutr - You DO realize that Lexus monitor's these sites and that what you are suggesting IS ILLEGAL (no matter how you try to justify it in your own tiny mind). The world is full of idiots who do not realize that by posting crap like this on the internet, they are also posting their intentions for public consumption. Thus also means that you have essentially given ANYBODY the right to print this and bring it up in any court of law in the future to use as evidence they can use against you (for nearly ANY purpose)... Things such as...
