Default Comfort vs Sports Mode

Has anyone played around with the two different modes and noticed a difference.

I have and noticed a difference. Depending on road conditions and wind, I will vary the setting sometimes 5-6 times a day.

There is a big difference on bumpy road, not as much difference in handling.

there is a noticeable difference in corners - I have KDSS - - with sport mode it is much flatter than normal mode ie. If you are going into a corner a bit fast, switching to sport helps.....but you can feel the bumps more....

I have non-kdss, but on high sport it corners better than in the softer setting. Personally I coudn't tell the differece in handling between KDSS equiped GX and a non-KDSS equiped. Handling was the same to me on cornering. And trust me I drove the trucks pretty hard. That's why I opt. for a non-KDSS. Set on 4 and roll with it. The Mrs. don't like the high setting she believes it's too harsh. She keeps it on 2.

I just took the GX from Ohio to the shores of NC over the weekend. As I was travelling the WV turnpike, i put it into sport mode and noticed that the truck handled much better in the tight curves.

We do the same thing . My wife puts it in comfort everytime she drives and I have to put it back to sport mode. Its like a game of musical switch setting. I wish Lexus incooperated the suspension setting into the driver's memory settings like the seats and the mirror.

Sorry about reviving an old old post, but I didn't want to create a new thread for a topic that was already covered before.

I was playing around with this setting today and I wanted to figure out which settings you guys use the most - from left to right -

Comfort 1
Comfort 2 (default)
Sport 1
Sport 2

I switched back and forth between Comfort 2 (default) and Sport 2 and didn't really notice too big of a difference, although I wasn't driving the car hard either.

I'm guessing it'll boil down to personal preference, but I'm curious what's the consensus - what do people use the most?

Holy thread revival batman!

I leave it in full sport for just me commuting around. When I'm going on an extended drive with friends or family I'll usually drop it down one notch.

Sport mode all the time. There is a big difference in handling. Much less leaning and swaying on the highway.

Sport 1 or 2 mode on highways and comfort 2 around town. Comfort mode 1 is too soft for me.

I know this is an old thread so don't flame me!

I've had my '04 for 2.5 years now and never played with the suspension setting. Yesterday I switched from the "default" setting to the far right Sport setting and what a difference! The GX still has original shocks, and I'd describe the ride as "floaty". It's now much tighter and I am a happy camper.

on the default comfort, it's supposed to be "floaty" my man.

i set it one notch from full max sport. max sport's a little too rough for a luxury suv for me.

"Sport" mode (setting 4 of 4, all the way to the right) on the freeway. I use the word "sport" very, very loosely!
Semi-comfort mode (setting 2 of 4, one click from the left) for everyday driving.

It's definitely more buttoned down on the freeway and noticeably more plush in town with these settings. However, I'm not talking about a night and day difference if that makes any sense. I think you GX drivers know what I mean.

What I absolutely hate about the GX is that the nose dives big time on braking at stop lights / stop signs. I hate, hate, hate it! I know it does it on the comfort-biased settings like it's going out of style, but it still happens a bit on the sporty setting.

i've had in on sport since the day we bought it...i've tried different settings, but i really can't tell the difference so i've left it on sport. i know what u mean about the noise dive...this is the most nose diving car i've driven, but surpisingly stops well though.
