i do not have a dvd player in our GX. any reason why we would have a remote in the rear?

also is there a place to buy the dvd player like EBAY Or anywhere?

where is the dvd player even located in the GX?


also how hard is it to install the backup camera?

The remote is for the rear audio system, the one with the headphones.

I have a remote with no video - the audio system it controlls is actually the upfront audio (there is a spot for two headphone jacks with volume controls, but there are no other back audio controls like my old Ford Explorer had - so I guess they provide a remote to the front).

After the second time the little holder got knocked to the floor, I took the remote out and put it in box somewhere. I drive, I control the radio!

Besides, my teenager is not always enamored with my CD choice

well i have no headphones. what does the remote control in the rear? i do not see any place where the volume or channels can be changed.

I think the rear audio display is at the back of the center map light, all the controls are on the remote. The headphone jacks are in the rear HAVC controls compartment. You can use any headphone or buy the Lexus wireless headphones.

The remote works the front radio by changing stations but I don't think the volume or mode (i.e., AM vs. FM1 and FM2, etc.). My kids drive me crazy playing with it from the back seat. Also, as Silverlady mentioned, the remote slides around on the floor back there when kicked out of its holder.

What peaves me is that the driver or front passenger cannot control the AC in back w/o trying to reach around and fumble with the rear controls which are right behind and below the center console! My kids leave it on and I don't realize it until I'm already headed down the road to work!

I have only use the rear audio system once and its kind of useless in my opinion, gald I didnt buy the wireless headphones. The remote does have function button on it, the front and rear can listen to 2 diff. radio stations. The only thing it cant do is both listen to diff cds.
