I am trying to find the way to make my full navigation work well on the go. (over 5mph) I have a o4 with mark levinson and no factory dvd player for the back. I have found alot of threads on the 05 and 06 but not on the 04. Please help

u would have to do it everytime u start the vehicle. goto dvd version screen.
Tap upper left corner then upper right corner (over the dvd tab) and then back to left corner again then bottom left and upper left again and diagnostic screen should show up.. on the diagnostic screen.. press and hold set tab untill it changes color.. then click ok and map screen.. there u go.

With ignition key on.....

Press on "I agree"

Press on "Menu"

Press on "DVD"

Press on upper left corner of screen

Press on lower left corner of screen

Press on upper left corner of screen

Press on lower left corner of screen

Press on lower right corner of screen

Press on "Override" and hold until a beep is heard

Press "Back"

Press "MAP / Voice"

That's it !!!

Does this need to ne done every time? If so is there a nother way....

yes every time you start the car it has to be done.. i only do it when i know i have to go look for diff places... other way is to actually buy a hardware/adapter which plugs at the back of ur navigation player..coasteltech sells them that will bypass the i agree button as well as let you input stuff while ur driving.

I got as far as DVD. when i press DVD it says version .031 and does not let me press anything but the back button. I have an 04 blue merdian pearl GX.

Nothing on the screen changes until you finish the following sequence:

Press on upper left corner of screen

Press on lower left corner of screen

Press on upper left corner of screen

Press on lower left corner of screen

Press on lower right corner of screen
