The fact that the Lexus unit will play DVD audio is what prompted my question. Thanks.
Where does the factory DVD player reside? Is it in the glove box in place of the CD changer? With DVD audtio discs, do you get a display of track names or other info?
Did not have the clunk, but elsewhere in here I reported having a harmonic drone at highway speed. I was on the verge of filing a lemon law claim, when they applied the Clunk TSB and that made it less, but didn't clear it completely. (So I guess I still have that option). I didn't drive it much this summer, so maybe I'm just not in tune with it. We'll see when I go back to drving it every day. Clearly there is a driveline design or manufacturing issue with this truck.
thanks,
Mark

The DVD player is conveniently in the mid armrest storage compartment in the center of the vehicle, not in the glovebox. At what mileage did you notice the clunk and how quickly did Lexus order the parts, they come in, and how long did it take them to fix it, did you require a rental?

i notice the problem almost immediately and waited a thousand miles or so to see if it would "run in". It didn't. It took 5 visits before Lexus threw up their hands (i.e. Lexus corporate). Then, when I was about to file my claim, they called and offered a fix. It was the TSB for the clunk. It took another couple of weeks to come in. I had a loaner for every visit.
