Not that I want to beat this thread into the ground. But, it is something I have wanted to rectify.

At night try turning your nav screen to off (that is doable in the "Display" menu I believe). And than move the dimmer from the "full on" detent position and than just off that setting. You will see a pretty marked difference between the two. Now that viewed difference is completely subjective, so it may not bother you. But, that brighter display is something that I do like about the Lexus Electro-Luminiscent backlight. Brighter and with more contrast than most bulb lit displays.

I have an 04 GX I just picked it up last week and I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. Is something thats just in the newer models. I dont see any night mode on mine. Just wondering if I'm a little slower or its just not there.
